The Tree of Life
A majestic tree native to the Pacific Northwest, the arborvitae tree has supported Native Americans for generations. They used all parts of the tree. The extra large trees were perfect for creating totem poles and woodcrafting due to the natural wood preservatives and the denseness of the wood. The roots were harvested for making baskets, the bark for clothing, rope and twine. All parts of the tree are used to support the culture. The Tree of Life is deeply respected and revered.
Arborvitae Essential Oil has incredible purifying properties to protect from seasonal and environmental threats. Put a few drops in a spray bottle with some distilled water and spray on your hands or surfaces for protection. The oil is concentrated in tropolones, such as hinokitol and thurjic acid which both contribute to the protective properties of this oil. These substances also make this oil a good natural insect repellant. Applied to your wrists and ankles while you’re exploring the great outdoors will keep the bugs at bay.
